Product Overview
The flushing cap is a precision component used in advanced inkjet systems, manufactured from PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)—a high-performance engineering plastic valued for its high-temperature resistance, strength, and excellent corrosion resistance.
With overall dimensions of 74 × 48 × 14 mm, the component is produced using five-axis CNC machining, enabling multi-surface one-time forming. Compared with traditional three-axis machining, this method eliminates the need for complex fixtures, reduces tooling costs, and allows for rapid adaptation when modifying part geometry or developing new designs.
The cap’s most challenging features are the Ø1 mm side holes, 27 mm deep, which connect precisely with front-facing holes. This extreme depth-to-diameter ratio of 27:1 presents significant machining difficulty, requiring hole walls to remain smooth and burr-free at the junctions to ensure functional integrity.
