Controller Housing (6061 Aluminum Alloy
Product Overview
The controller housing serves as both the protective enclosure and thermal management solution for electronic devices. Manufactured from 6061 aluminum alloy, it combines strength, lightweight performance, and excellent heat dissipation, making it a preferred choice in the electronics industry.
The housing features a grid-pattern design, produced with precision CNC machining using 2mm cutting tools, which not only enhances its visual appeal but also significantly improves heat dissipation efficiency. Internally, the housing is engineered with a cavity structure to provide secure, organized placement for circuit boards and electronic components, ensuring stable system operation.
From the initial 750g raw billet, the final product weighs only 168g after a series of precision machining steps—demonstrating the efficiency and sophistication of the machining process.
Following machining, the housing undergoes black anodizing, enhancing surface hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance, while delivering a sleek, modern appearance. In the final stage, the oxide layer at the bottom is carefully removed for silk-screen logo printing, allowing the customer’s branding to be integrated seamlessly into the product.
Manufacturing Challenges
High Material Removal Ratio
Reducing from 750g raw material to a 168g finished product requires highly controlled machining to maintain stability and avoid deformation.
Precision Grid Machining
The grid structure, milled with 2mm tools, demands accurate cutting paths to balance both aesthetic consistency and heat dissipation performance.
Surface Treatment Integration
Achieving a flawless anodized finish, while selectively removing oxide layers for silk-screen branding, requires careful process sequencing.

Our Solutions
Optimized CNC Machining
Multi-stage precision machining ensures weight reduction without compromising structural strength.
Fine Grid Patterning
Toolpath strategies with micro-diameter cutters deliver uniform grid structures, enhancing both functionality and appearance.
Advanced Surface Finishing
Black anodizing improves durability, while localized oxide removal enables high-quality logo silk-screening, integrating branding with the final product.

Quality Assurance
Each controller housing is subjected to:
Dimensional Accuracy Inspection – ensuring internal cavity and external structure meet design requirements
Surface Quality Check – verifying anodized layer thickness, hardness, and uniformity
Branding Quality Inspection – ensuring silk-screened logos are sharp, durable, and aligned
Assembly Fitment Test – confirming precise compatibility with electronic modules

Application Value
Electronics Protection – shielding internal components from impact and external stress.
Thermal Management – grid structures and aluminum alloy enhance cooling efficiency.
Lightweight Design – significantly reduced weight for portable and consumer electronics.
Brand Integration – silk-screen logo enhances product identity and market differentiation.
